MTSA is one of the largest Anesthesia programs in the country, providing its students with some of the best clinical experiences. Most students exceed national recommendations in clinical practice by two to six-fold, giving a competitive edge on transition from student to full practice. Their simulations offer multiple cadaver lab including anatomy, regional anesthetics utilizing peripheral and neuroaxial training and central line placements. MTSA was the first to certify their students in Transesophageal Echocardiography and rotate their students through over 20 different institutions.
